Our first week/weekend in Augusta!

We finally made it here last Sunday after a wonderful week at the beach. I didn't know what to expect with the boys...how they would adjust? would it be hard for them to meet new friends? It has been a breeze. One of the best things was coming ahead of time and having the house prepared. When they entered, they felt at home and found their toys just as they had at the "old" house. Here, we chose to put them in the same bed to sleep. This is actually a first for the both of them since Bently has been in the bed with us the past year and Anderson in his crib. It couldn't have gone smoother. However, I feel like a mom to a newborn again getting up several times during the night to find a paci or put one back in bed because he fell out! It is worth it though. This gives us a chance to have a night schedule and read and say prayers together. Special times for all four of us.

We met several new friends last week through the spouse alliance group. These are heaven sent when it comes to moving to a new area and plugging in. Great friendships are made that help you through the tough times and celebrate the great times. We still have several friends from Knoxville that we met through a similar group! Most of the kids are boys and around Bently and Anderson's age, so perfect!

Mark has a nice schedule right now. Like none that we have had in the past. He is usually home around six and off on the weekends unless a call night falls. So we've been able to have dinner together (on the floor or standing until our kitchen chairs come :)!) The boys love sitting outside and waiting on him to get home. This weekend we were able to visit the downtown farmers market and try some new foods as well as get fruits and vegetable. They have a nice riverwalk trail that runs along the Savannah River, so we walked that and played at the park. Then we grilled and stayed in just doing things around the house. Today we visited a new church. The boys went to their class like big boys. And might I add that they are getting SO big, TOO fast ;( Bently came in tonight and told Mark "Anderson is talking so good!" Anyway...then we went to the art museum for a free family afternoon of music and painting. Life is Good and God has been so good to us. I told Mark yesterday that we are very blessed for all that we have at this young (I still consider us young :)) age and considering the circumstances we have been through since being married. Can't say I'd change anything because I wouldn't have the memories or the friends that I have made along the way!

Long post, I know, but had to catch you up on what's going on here. I'll post pictures of their paintings and or house tomorrow, but for now, I must go kiss two boys good night!
