Happy Fall Y'all!

Yep, Fall is finally here at our house! The weather not so much, but I am hoping this week will bring cooler temperatures. Last week was rough and really put my nerves to a test! Anderson decided to throw his paci away Wednesday morning when I commented that it was broke. Yes, I was/am very happy, but that brought on a lot of whining during the day. When I would usually give him the paci to get him quiet, I couldn't. Today has been much better, so I am hoping it is going to get better. He hasn't cried for it and only asked for it a few times. Such a big boy already and personally, I am not ready for 2 bog boys. I was hoping Anderson would stay a baby longer. ;) On top of all of this, neither of them have napped. If one happened to crash, it would be for 15-20 min max. This lead to early bed times around our house! By Thursday, I simply wanted a 15 min rest, but it was made impossible. We managed to survive though!!

Yesterday one of our friends hosted a Fall Party. Bently was SO excited!! Once everyone got there, he screamed, "This is a party!" Funny the things that bring joy to their heart. I asked him on the way home what his favorite thing was and he replied with, "the candy corn cake." (aka: pretzels with kisses topped with a candy corn) Mark is on call today, so I made sure to make a few plans to help our day pass quickly. We started with Anderson a haircut and he did NOT cry at all today! That is a big deal because his hair grows so fast we are having to get it cut rather often. Then I let them play at the mall a while. They really enjoy this and it's FREE! I decided to once again brave a movie with them...yea, this attempt was a failure too. Kudos to Pops for taking them and managing to stay the whole movie. Once the popcorn was gone, Anderson was done. I was able to keep him quiet a little while, but once a lady turned around and looked at me, I was done. Maybe we'll try again next year!! So we came home and will have a frozen pizza for dinner and watch football! It's the sweet life and I know you are all jealous! ;) It was peanut butter and jelly last night!!!

I hope you all are having a nice weekend. We truly are too. We are looking forward to being back in LA in a few short weeks. Camo, costumes, and party supplies are already packed!!

In the midst of my little mess,
I forget how big I'm blessed!

So break me of impatience
Conquer my frustrations
I've got a new appreciation
It's not the end of the world.

After his haircut!

Don't let these cute faces fool you...at the movies!

A snip it from Bently as he opened his package from MaC and Pops. I recorded too much, so had to delete some.

Pictures

Internet has been down for the weekend, so that's why there have been no pictures. That and along with staying busy! These are from our weekend at the beach, a few random, and from Steed's Dairy Farm we visited Sunday. We met a few friends there and had a blast. Let's just say that the boys were in bed by 7:45. I wish we had family that would come visit during this time of the year because there is so much fun stuff to do that Louisiana doesn't offer. But we will gladly take advantage of it and maybe in the three years we are here some will be able to join us!

These boys love watching football with Daddy. They both fell asleep that night watching it!

Pirate Day at Krispy Kreme and the boys got free donuts!

Bently's seashells and Daddy's sand dollar.

Handsomeness!

It was beautiful there.

Today has been such a great day for us and I hope it has for you also. We started out with free donuts for Pirate's Day and then story time at the library. The afternoon was spent at home and outside enjoying the best weather! The boys have hit the "no nap" stage or "maybe I'll grab 30 min to tease Mom!" This has made for an earlier bedtime routine but more quality time during the day. I know I say too often, but I LOVE these two boys with every thing within me. Their faces, personalities, love ~ the new bedtime routine is a hug, kiss, and high five! Who would ever not look forward to that, not this Mom! ;)

Mark had a long weekend off last weekend due to the way his call fell, so we took advantage and made a quick trip to the beach. From the nice weather, to sandy beaches, sand dollars, asleep by 9:30, palm trees, fish and crab, ice cream, and just relaxing as a family...it was perfect! The boys had fun and were able to enjoy one last swim. We had never been to Atlantic, so it was nice to see that beach. And as always, made me sad to leave. The beach just brings me such peace and happiness. It is such a beauty that God created.

Monday brought us back to our normal routine - Mark to work and us with our regular schedule. Kindermusik went much better this week for Anderson. He wasn't trying to be the class clown and actually participated. I was so happy when we left because last week I wanted to run, hide, and leave him there. Tuesday was a school day and my bible study. I didn't know what new things moving here would bring, but I do know that I had a peace about it. The support that this town provides for women and families in similar situations is unreal. I know that we are just where we are supposed to be. God continues to share his blessings with us and daily shows me new people and needs to add to my prayers. The needs vary so much, but I am so honored to be able to pray for these friends and see the work in progress. Days are hard and long and I could/do so easily get upset when i receive the text that Mark will be late, but there are other families that don't get to see their dad because he comes home after dark and leaves before sunrise. Others that have dads deployed or would give anything to see their dad. It is a choice to be positive and control your temper no matter how long the days get. This time for our family will only be a small blink several years from now. With that being said, I plan to give my boys the best memories now and worry about tomorrow when it gets here. We are only promised today and I WILL make today the best!

We have big plans for the ULM game Friday night here in Augusta!!! When football is on tv, no matter the team, the boys are hollering!! Makes me happy that they love it just as much as their dad does. Haven't a clue, but still cheering! So until next time, Go Warhawks!!!
