September Has Arrived ~

What a busy month it is going to be! It is by our choice though, and we are pretty excited about it. Aside from school twice a week, the boys and I will be doing Kindermusik on Monday mornings plus a park playdate in the afternoon. Wednesday is a gym class to hopefully get the wiggles out and story time at the library. Friday is an open playtime and possibly a restful afternoon for the weekend. Then each Thursday night is an auxillary activity for me (cooking club, book club, gals and goodies, family night out) Anyway, you get the picture. We are BUSY, but never too busy for visits and we got just that last Friday.

As I was putting out the kids lunch last Friday someone walked right in our house. Startled? yes, because that doesn't happen here, but it was my Mom, Emma, and Tyler. There were some big smiles on two faces and we were busy from that point on... Saturday morning we took them to our market and had breakfast there (homemade cinnamon rolls and fresh lemonade - healthy huh?!) before we headed to Columbia for the day. There we went to the zoo (or animal store as Bently referred to it yesterday) and it was amazing. The Knoxville zoo was nice, but this one was extremely nice. You could feed animals, ride animals, ride rides and more fun stuff. We finally left knowing that we would be back soon. Mark and I decided to sneak away for a dinner with just adults. It was nice, but we were home in an hour to finish football games! The dreaded Sunday morning came when we hated to see them go, but we had more plans that took their minds off of them leaving. Thanks for coming; we certainly enjoyed having you and can't wait for our next guests!

Sunday, we went to a near by lake that had a "beach" and met up with several other resident families for a potluck lunch. Not my idea of a real beach, but it was nice and clean and provided hours of play for all of the kids. It was a nice getaway and the weather was perfect.

I started a new bible study this morning while the boys were at school. I've never done anything like this before, but I thought it would be good for me. It's called Side-by-Side and for spouses of dental or medical students, residents, or regular employed people (whatever you call it after they are finished with training!) Soon enough we will find out ;) It was nice and rather a large group. Some work at MCG and others are at Ft. Gordon, the military base here. We had a large study and then broke in small groups for prayer requests and a time to share what/if anything is going on. I feel it will be very helpful to be around more like women that know how you feel somedays.

The boys are good and both are still liking school. Not sure how well you can tell in pictures, but they are just about the same size. I always dread when they walk in the kitchen because it is so hard to get them full! Bently is such the big brother asking things like, "Are you going to be nice? Are you going to hit again?" It's funny to hear their conversations! Hope everyone has nice afternoon. I'll upload pictures soon once I am able to sit down, download, and go through them. Love to all!
