Mark has been working for months now on research. As much as I knew a trip would be nice, the research took a lot of family time away. But I knew it was important to him, so he went with it. The ASA was in San Francisco last week. Next year it will be in New Orleans. Kind of funny because SF reminded me of New Orleans with the homeless and trash, however it was beautiful. There would be times that I'd find myself constantly commenting on the scenery. Mark presented 4 presentations this year and is already working on things for other conferences and such. A hard worker indeed on top of daily duties at the hospital and a program that is not the best right now. The trip was wonderful and so nice to have time just he and I. Even more nice not to have to pay a sitter for that time! Our time in Augusta is going by so fast. Crazy to think that this time next year, he will have matched and we will know where we will be headed next!! Yes, our final destination aside from a real job. Wahoo!!! What an accomplishment it will be for him. However the thought of leaving these friends is already hitting both of us. God has been good through this journey and helped us along the way.
As for now, it's Anderson's birthday and I need to get them ready. We are headed to Steed's Dairy Farm today for some fun with friends!!

Alcatrez. We did a boat tour to the bridge and past here. Because the government was shut down, the tours on Alcatrez were closed. |

A real beauty! |

Happy to have spent these days with him! Not sure if I'll make it to Montreal in the Spring or not. |
